WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?

Apprenticeships combine hands-on work with the opportunity to train and earn qualifications. Training can take place either on work premises, online or at a training provider over an average of 6 hours per week (for those working a 30-hour week).

An apprenticeship is a minimum of 12 months, although the exact length depends on the chosen sector and level.
